X Windows Interface

Quintus Prolog contains two complementary packages for interfacing to X Windows:

ProXT. This package supports rapid development of graphical user interfaces with the look and feel of OSF/Motif. ProXT provides access to the Motif widget set and X Toolkit (Xt), via over 250 Prolog predicates.

ProXL. This package offers a comprehensive interface to X Windows, supporting essentially all the functionality of Xlib.

X Windows programming in both ProXT and ProXL is aided by Quintus Prolog's interactive development, which shortens the edit-test-debug cycle. Individual files can be recompiled incrementally, without the need to exit an application and re-link.
